WHY IT WORKS
Zimmerman Halliday (ivory lace appliqué, semi-sheer) tucked into the Lafayette leather skirt. Previously worn with the leather skirt (the stylist-approved 8B combination), but this time the shoe shifts the register for an evening context: the Khaite White Mary Jane instead of the Khaite mesh wedge. The ivory/white patent of the shoe pulls tonal with the Zimmerman's ivory, and the black T-strap graphic picks up the black leather skirt below. Keeps the romantic lace from tipping precious — something that looks considered rather than simply dressed up. Loro Piana pink shawl for warmth outside, adding a quiet color note against all the ivory and black.
